Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift is an American country singer and songwriter. The stories of Taylor Swift's songs focus on the pain of a young girl. Swift was a singer who took ideas from Shania's music and that of the Dixie Chicks now known as The Chicks within the realm of music from the country genre, wrote the original songs she wrote to express her feelings of alienation. Swift's parents moved her to Tennessee at the age of thirteen after they sold their Pennsylvania farm. This enabled Swift to devote more time looking for labels to promote the country genre in Nashville.
